Job summary
Vantor is seeking a Hardware Platform Technical Leader for Project Darwin, combining precision 3D mapping hardware with advanced software to ruggedize electronic systems and deliver high-assurance navigation. You will own system design, architecture decisions, and tradeoffs, turning concepts into physical reality while guiding a small startup-like team through rapid development.

Qualifications
- Hands-on expertise in autonomous drone hardware design and implementation as a tech lead.
- Extensive knowledge of EW resistant RF design.
- Knowledge of symmetric and asymmetric encryption and RF transmission.
- Extensive familiarity with common drone HW/SW operating platforms such as ArduPilot and PX4.
- Prior startup or bootstrap projects in this domain preferred.
- US Citizen required, ability to hold clearance desirable.
Responsibilities
- System design, architecture and tradeoffs; turning concepts into physical reality.
- Interviewing junior candidates, selecting and forming the team.
- Design implementation, testing, production rollout.
- Direct engagement with key customers.
- Working closely with the software lead to launch initial prototypes with timelines and rapid execution.
