Job summary

Naval Nuclear Laboratory seeks an innovative engineer to shape the next generation of propulsion plant simulation technology. You will contribute to trainer integration across the hardware project lifecycle, from design to test, collaborating with suppliers to meet requirements and project objectives.

The role emphasizes independent work, stakeholder interface, and active participation in design reviews, with opportunities to influence early design decisions and mentor teams.

Qualifications

  • Requires a technical engineering or science degree with substantial relevant experience.
  • Position may require current or prior roles within Naval Nuclear Laboratory partnership.
  • Experience leading design reviews, supplier interactions, and lifecycle activities.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct independent work efforts through the project lifecycle.
  • Interface with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Support design reviews and technical interchanges with suppliers.
  • Review and disposition supplier design submittals against requirements.
  • Oversee on-site hardware inspections at supplier facilities.
