Job summary

Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking a program‑mature engineer to lead and execute high‑fidelity trainer test programs, reviewing technical procedures and coordinating with software and hardware teams as well as Navy stakeholders. The role spans cross‑site collaboration and lifecycle testing to advance Next Generation Training Programs.

Ideal candidates have advanced degrees or are in senior reactor training roles, with strong communication and project management skills, and a proven ability to

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical, engineering or science field with at least 6 years of relevant experience; or
  • Master's degree in a related field with at least 4 years of relevant experience; or
  • Doctorate with at least 1 year of relevant experience; or currently a Senior Reactor Training Engineer, Refueling Engineer, or RPCO Engineer at the Company.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute test programs for next generation trainer capabilities.
  • Develop and review technical procedures and test cases; coordinate with software, hardware, and Navy stakeholders.
  • Support lifecycle testing, testing of new trainer components, and continuous process improvements.
