Job summary

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to directly support the training of Navy sailors in the NNPP. You will shape, strengthen, and sustain a diverse portfolio of mechanical and electronic hardware trainers that reinforce foundational and advanced engineering, operations, and troubleshooting skills.

You will guide product life cycle support for current trainers while also helping to envision, plan, and build the next generation of training upgrades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical, engineering or science field with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field with 1+ year of relevant experience.
• Currently a Senior Reactor Training Engineer, Refueling Engineer, or Field (RPCO) Engineer at the Company.

Responsibilities

• Guide product life cycle support for current trainers.
• Help envision, plan, and build the next generation of training upgrades.
• Collaborate with government partners, contractors, Navy personnel, and vendors.
• Balance competing priorities and maintain organized program management.
