Job summary

Allied Resources Technical Consultants seeks a Hardware Development Engineering Manager in Middletown, PA to lead design, simulation, testing, and validation of high-speed interconnect products.

This role will manage a team of product development engineers, guiding concepts through production, with emphasis on signal integrity and cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, product, and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering; Master's preferred.
• 10+ years hardware engineering experience.
• Experience with hardware design, simulation, testing, validation.
• Experience with high-speed interconnects, cables, connectors.
• Strong understanding of electromagnetic theory and signal integrity.
• Ability to translate simulation and lab data into engineering decisions.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams through product lifecycle.
• Six Sigma or data analytics experience is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel 25-30%.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of high-speed active cable assemblies and interconnect products from concept through production.
• Define and manage hardware design, simulation, testing, and validation requirements for new products.
• Guide engineering teams through high-speed cable, connector, and component development.
• Review simulation and laboratory results and translate findings into actionable engineering recommendations.
• Lead technical and design reviews throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Partner with manufacturing, product, customer, and engineering stakeholders to drive successful product launches.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of product development engineers.
• Establish team goals around technical capability, engineering efficiency, product performance, and innovation.
• Support talent development, succession planning, hiring, and performance management.
• Communicate technical strategies, risks, and project impacts to customers and senior leadership.
