Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Senior Principal Interconnect Development Engineer to lead high-speed interconnect solutions for next‑gen network switches and routers. You will work between hardware design and interconnect suppliers to shape roadmaps and validate new concepts two to five years out.

You will develop validation plans and test vehicles for mechanical and signal integrity, collaborate on co‑development projects, and influence design decisions across internal and external

Qualifications

• 15+ years industry experience in interconnect
• 10+ years hands-on high-speed interconnect (≥56 GHz)
• Cross-functional collaboration with hardware/PCB teams

Responsibilities

• Develop interconnect technology roadmaps between hardware design and suppliers
• Validate pre-NPI/ pre-product interconnect concepts for 2–5 year roadmaps
• Design test vehicles to verify mechanical and signal integrity of connectors and cables
• Influence internal and external stakeholders on design changes
• Assess trade-offs between mechanical design, SI, DOE and reliability
