Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Hardware Eng is seeking experienced hardware design engineers to lead integration and operations of next‑generation SSD storage for our cloud systems in Cupertino, CA.

You will design, build and scale storage platforms, partner with software teams to optimize SSD performance and health, and drive cost, quality and reliability improvements across massive fleets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hardware design and validation for components, subsystems and systems.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with root-cause, debug and resolution of issues on storage systems in Linux.
• Experience with system integration and operation of SSDs.

Responsibilities

• As a hardware engineer on the OEM SSDs team, bring new storage technology to our systems and scale operations across a massive fleet.
• Collaborate with software teams to develop services that optimize SSD performance and health at scale.
• Lead the integration and deployment of SSDs from OEM suppliers and support rollout for new platforms.
