Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Hardware Engineering team creates compute and storage server designs for AWS cloud services. We are seeking experienced Hardware Design Engineers to build the next generation of HDD-based storage solutions for massive scale.

You will lead design, verification and production readiness, collaborating across internal teams and external vendors to deliver high-performance, cost-efficient storage hardware for AWS fleets.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of engineering experience deploying and operating HDDs systems.
• Deep engineering understanding of HDDs function and system interactions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, verification and production readiness of HDD-based storage solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to scale deployment for AWS.
• Develop and apply new technologies to achieve higher density and performance.
