Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking experienced hardware design engineers to build the next generation of Nitro SSD hardware for AWS data centers. You will design storage platforms, interact with cross-functional teams, and lead the implementation of high-speed, low-latency storage solutions across large-scale deployments.

The role emphasizes ownership, rapid delivery, and continual improvement in cost, performance, and quality while working with teams across Seattle, Cupertino, and Austin.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years of hardware design and development experience for high-volume storage solutions and SSDs.
• Master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 5-7+ years of experience in storage component and/or platform design (PCB schematic and layout) for large-scale applications.
• 5-7+ years of hands-on hardware design, debug, and customer support experience with NAND Flash storage systems.

Responsibilities

• Design storage platforms and AWS-specific hardware components from concept to production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver large-scale hardware designs.
• Lead application of new technologies to improve performance, quality, and cost.
• Drive platform integration, supply continuity, and cost optimization for Nitro SSD.
