Job summary

Amazon is seeking a lead hardware design engineer to design and operate SSD storage for AWS cloud systems in Cupertino. You will own the integration of SSDs from OEM suppliers and help build automated monitoring and failure analysis services to operate and scale these devices.

You will partner with AWS software teams to optimize performance, quality, and cost, while maintaining high engineering standards and ownership of your work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hardware design and validation of components, subsystems and systems.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience with root-cause, debug and resolution of issues on storage systems in Linux.

Responsibilities

• As a hardware engineer, lead integration and operation of SSD from OEM suppliers and scale the fleet.
• Collaborate with AWS software teams to build software services for SSD performance and health at scale.
• Drive integration and delivery of SSDs for new and existing platforms.
