Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Lead Hardware Design Engineer with strong mixed-signal hardware experience. You will drive architecture through production, collaborating with firmware, mechanical, and test teams to deliver robust, safety-critical hardware solutions.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in hardware design, deep analog/digital expertise, and hands-on FPGA/microcontroller proficiency, plus PCB design using Altium and SI/PI analysis. Competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hardware design and development experience.
• Strong expertise in analog and digital circuit design.
• Experience with FPGA, microprocessors, and microcontrollers.
• Hands-on experience with mixed-signal systems and sensor interfaces.
• Strong knowledge of power supplies, signal conditioning, ADC/DAC, and filters.
• Experience with PCB design/review using Altium.
• Knowledge of communication protocols: SPI, I2C, CAN, UART, USB, Ethernet.
• Experience with signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) analysis.
• Familiarity with SPICE/PSPICE simulations and hardware verification.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience with EMI/EMC, environmental testing, DFMEA, and reliability analysis.
