Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Lead Hardware Design Engineer with strong mixed-signal hardware design, FPGA and microcontroller expertise. You will lead hardware development from architecture through production and work closely with firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, and test teams in a safety-conscious environment.

The role emphasizes analog/digital circuit design, PCB design, and verification, with exposure to EMI/EMC, DFMEA, and reliability analysis.

Qualifications

• 10+ years hardware design and development experience.
• Strong analog and digital circuit design expertise.
• FPGA, microprocessors, and microcontrollers experience.
• Mixed-signal systems and sensor interfaces experience.
• PCB design using Altium; familiarity with signal integrity and power integrity.

Responsibilities

• Lead hardware development from architecture through production.
• Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, and test teams.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers.
• Perform design reviews and verification throughout the lifecycle.
