Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Lead Hardware Design Engineer to drive architecture, design, and production of mixed-signal hardware. You will work closely with firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, and test teams to deliver robust, safety-critical systems.

The role demands extensive experience in analog/digital design, FPGA/microcontrollers, PCB design, and EMI/EMC, with a focus on reliability and thorough verification.

Qualifications

• 10+ years hardware design and development experience.
• Strong analog and digital circuit design expertise.
• Experience with FPGA, microprocessors, and microcontrollers.
• Hands-on experience with mixed-signal systems and sensor interfaces.
• Strong knowledge of power supplies, signal conditioning, ADC/DAC, and filters.
• Experience with PCB design/review using Altium.
• Knowledge of SPI, I2C, CAN, UART, USB, Ethernet.
• Experience with SI/PI analysis.
• Familiarity with SPICE/PSPICE simulations and hardware verification.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience with EMI/EMC, environmental testing, DFMEA, and reliability analysis.
