Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Lead Hardware Design Engineer in the U.S. for a high-impact role spanning architecture to production. You will work with firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, and test teams to deliver robust, safety-critical hardware solutions.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in hardware design, strong analog/digital skills, and hands-on FPGA, microprocessor, and mixed-signal experience. This position is on-site in a collaborative, engineered environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years hardware design and development experience.
• Strong analog and digital circuit design expertise.
• Experience with FPGA, microprocessors, and microcontrollers.
• Hands-on with mixed-signal systems and sensor interfaces.
• Knowledge of power supplies, ADC/DAC, filters.
• PCB design/review using Altium.
• Knowledge of SPI, I2C, CAN, UART, USB, Ethernet.
• SI/PI analysis experience.
• SPICE/PSPICE simulations and hardware verification.
• Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills.
• EMI/EMC, environmental testing, DFMEA, reliability analysis.
