Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Lead Hardware Design Engineer with deep experience in mixed-signal hardware design, FPGA/microcontrollers, and analog & digital electronics to lead architecture-to-production efforts. You will work closely with firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, and test teams to deliver robust hardware for safety-critical applications.

The role demands 10+ years in hardware design, strong SI/PI knowledge, PCB design with Altium, and hands-on verification using SPICE tools.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hardware design and development experience.
• Strong expertise in analog and digital circuit design.
• Experience with FPGA, microprocessors, and microcontrollers.
• Hands-on experience with mixed-signal systems and sensor interfaces.
• Power supplies, signal conditioning, ADC/DAC, and filters knowledge.
• PCB design/review using Altium.
• Knowledge of SPI, I2C, CAN, UART, USB, Ethernet protocols.
• Experience with SI/PI analysis and hardware verification.
• Proficient in SPICE/PSPICE simulations and debugging.
• EMI/EMC, environmental testing, DFMEA, and reliability analysis.

Responsibilities

• Provide robust designs with emphasis on safety-critical requirements.
