Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to lead specialized rehabilitation of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder in an outpatient setting. The role includes patient evaluation, custom splinting, post-surgical rehabilitation, and collaboration with hand surgeons and therapists to develop individualized recovery plans.

You will supervise OT assistants and students, fabricate orthoses, educate patients on device care, and contribute to interdisciplinary care

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• DPT or DOT preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited OT/PT program.
• 3+ years of upper-extremity rehab/outpatient therapy.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments and establish care plans.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to age and disability.
• Document delivery of OT services.
• Directs and supervises OT Assistants, students and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear and precautions.
• Treat post-surgical and injury rehabilitation cases.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, physicians, and other professionals.
