Job summary

Qualifications

• Membership in good standing of the State Bar of California.
• 3+ years representing people in immigration matters or 3+ years of federal litigation.
• Prior federal court experience preferred and strong writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Staff weekly on‑call shifts for BAHN and file same‑day habeas petitions and motions.
• Represent people in limited scope immigration matters and related hearings.
• Mentor law students and work with clinical staff on habeas matters.
• Develop new legal theories and expand caselaw in habeas relief.
