Job summary

Canal Alliance in San Rafael, CA is seeking a staff attorney to develop an ILS Pro Bono Program and provide specialized immigration services. The role supports a trauma-informed culture and requires collaboration with community members, attorneys, and corporations.

The position is full-time, exempt with a hybrid model (3 days in-office). Salary ranges from $85k-$95k annually, and you may need to attend hearings in San Francisco as needed, reporting to the Senior Supervising Attorney of the

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of immigration practice experience.
• Bilingual English and Spanish, oral and written.
• Ability to train and manage legal practitioners.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the ILS Pro Bono Program and case management.
• Foster relationships with local attorneys, firms, and schools to recruit volunteers.
• Place and train cases with pro bono volunteers.
• Manage cases from intake to filing with USCIS.
• Represent clients before USCIS and EOIR as needed.
• Attend hearings and collaborate with advocacy teams.
