Job summary

Immigrant ARC is looking for a Habeas Supervising Attorney to oversee litigation quality, mentor volunteer attorneys, and develop legal strategies. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring high-quality legal representation for detained individuals.

Ideal candidates will have extensive litigation experience in immigration law with a JD from an accredited law school. This role offers a salary range of $100,000 to $110,000 and includes various benefits aimed at fostering a diverse and equitable work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of litigation experience representing detained noncitizens.
• Experience litigating immigration habeas corpus petitions is required.
• Active admission to the New York bar and federal district court in New York.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality of litigation handled through the Habeas Program.
• Mentor and supervise volunteer attorneys.
• Serve as the program’s subject matter expert on immigration litigation.
