Job summary
Good Samaritan Home of Quincy is seeking a Lead Groundskeeper to maintain all grounds, facilities, and equipment in a safe, efficient manner. You will supervise the grounds crew and follow directions from the Director of Maintenance to uphold standards and local regulations.
The position offers full-time hours, an 8-hour day shift with weekend rotation, and a comprehensive benefits package including health, 401K, and paid leave. Prior groundskeeping and leadership experience is valued.
Qualifications
- Must be able to lift loads over 50 lbs and perform physical labor.
- Must be able to operate and supervise yard equipment safely.
- Must possess a valid Illinois driver’s license and drive service vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Maintain yard equipment and perform routine maintenance and tune-ups.
- Oversee grounds crew to ensure safe, efficient groundskeeping.
- Mow, trim, mulch, bag leaves, and remove campus waste.
- Perform snow removal and respond to alarms as needed.
- Fertilize, water, and landscape as directed and follow safety policies.
