Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Senior Landscape Technician to perform semi-skilled grounds maintenance across campus. You will operate landscape equipment, maintain facilities, and support the Landscape team to keep UT grounds healthy and attractive.

Responsibilities include safe equipment operation, minor repairs, transporting crew and materials, and supporting supervision. A Class C license and safety training are required, with strong teamwork and communication essential for

Qualifications

• High school graduation or GED.
• Three years of landscape maintenance/repair experience or operation of commercial-sized landscape equipment.
• Class “C” Operator’s Driver’s License; ability to provide three-year driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service while performing general landscape grounds duties and small-scale landscaping operations.
• Safely operate landscape equipment and perform routine maintenance and minor repairs.
• Drive university-owned light/medium trucks and trailers to transport crew, equipment, and materials.
• Lead crew in the absence of the landscape supervisor and assist with directing work.
• Attend safety training and submit daily labor and weekly time reports.
• Purchase supplies per university procedures and support department goals.
