Actalent is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead ground-up commercial projects in the Washington, DC area, including schools and multifamily developments. This role oversees projects typically valued at $50 million or more, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and high-quality delivery across active job sites in DMV.

You will coordinate field teams, manage subcontractors, and maintain rigorous schedules while upholding safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years as a construction Superintendent overseeing large base-build projects.
• 5+ years ground-up commercial experience.
• Proven track record managing projects $50M+ from site work to completion.
• Strong scheduling, coordination, and safety knowledge.
• Bachelor's degree in an AEC discipline.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead day-to-day field operations for ground-up commercial projects (schools, multifamily, base-build).
• Manage all phases from site prep to completion, ensuring plans, specs, and codes are met.
• Coordinate subcontractors, staff, and vendors to maintain productivity, quality, and safety.
• Develop and execute detailed construction schedules to keep projects on track.
• Collaborate with project managers to align field activities with project goals.
• Monitor progress via site inspections and address issues impacting schedule or budget.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies and promote a safe on-site environment.
• Oversee site logistics and material/equipment management to minimize disruptions.
• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders on status and risks.
• Support compliance with owner/regulatory/DGS requirements for applicable projects.
• Review drawings and specs and provide field input as issues arise.
• Document daily activities and assist with reports for closeout.
