Job summary

Marand Builders, Inc. seeks a dynamic General Contractor Construction Superintendent with ground-up experience to lead large commercial projects from inception to completion.

This role requires overseeing multiple teams, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in commercial construction, OSHA 30, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel up to 75%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field, or equivalent.
• 5+ years in commercial construction overseeing ground-up projects.
• Strong leadership and communication; manage multiple teams and stakeholders.
• OSHA 30 within the last 5 years or ability to renew.
• Proficient in project reporting software, MS Office, and blueprint reading.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Problem-solving and proactive, results-oriented approach.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites.
• OSHA-30 hours training and recertification every 5 years per policy.
• Travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Enforce safety compliance and advocate for safety as priority.
• Supervise field construction to meet design, budget, schedule and customer objectives.
• Conduct weekly on-site meetings with subcontractors and vendors as appropriate.
• Enforce project procedures, safety program requirements, and work rules.
• Maintain health and safety of workers per guidelines.
• Prepare field reports daily (site, safety, etc.).
• Complete punch lists per customer requirements and budget; use Procore for tracking.
• Monitor subcontractors' progress and ensure adequate manpower.
• Coordinate subcontractor schedules with PM to update construction schedules.
• Verify layouts with subcontractors and establish initial control lines.
• Respond clearly to questions and coordinate with Construction Manager.
• Participate in pre-construction planning and estimates.
• Maintain on-site contract documents and record drawings (red lines).
• Ensure organized on-site field office and professional image.
• Communicate with Construction Manager on financial, safety, progress issues.
• Mentor other Superintendent levels; work with team across sites.
• Maintain OSHA safety training as required.
