Cushing Terrell is seeking an Architect or Design Technician to lead grocery and retail projects from early design vision through construction. You will collaborate with clients, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure performance, sustainability, and long-term value.

With a focus on highly populated environments, you will balance efficiency, technology, and brand storytelling while guiding teams and managing budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• NAAB‑accredited Bachelor or Master of Architecture degree.
• 3 to 5+ years of experience leading projects, teams, and clients.
• Experience and passion for Grocery and Retail architecture.
• Architect license/registration optional; not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from design through construction and manage multiple projects.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Prepare contract documents and construction cost estimates.
• Ensure compliance with specifications and perform site observations.
• Develop and maintain client relationships.
