Job summary

WM. R. Curtis Inc. is seeking a reliable CDL Class A Driver to support excavation and site development. You will safely transport equipment, materials, and aggregates to and from job sites while assisting with general labor as needed.

Responsibilities include operating dump trucks and lowboys, performing pre/post trip inspections, and maintaining logs. You will also assist with grading and trenching when not driving, ensuring DOT safety compliance and working with the team.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CDL Class A license and clean driving record.
• Experience operating CDL vehicles in construction/excavation preferred.
• Ability to learn excavation equipment and perform site labor as needed.
• Strong adherence to safety procedures and DOT regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate CDL Class A vehicles (dump trucks, lowboys, tandems, etc.) safely and efficiently
• Transport heavy equipment (excavators, skid steers, dozers) to job sites
• Load and unload materials such as dirt, gravel, sand, and debris
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment

Requirements:

• Valid CDL Class A license (required)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in excavation, grading, or underground utilities
• Knowledge of load securement for heavy equipment
• OSHA certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Mechanical knowledge of trucks and equipment
