Job summary

TB Excavating in the United States is seeking a Construction Equipment Operator to handle heavy equipment operations in field settings. You will drive various equipment between sites, perform pre-trip checks, and adhere to all safety procedures.

The role involves performing general construction duties, including framing, utilities, grading, and snow removal, with travel to different job sites as required. This is a full-time, outdoors position with weekend work as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Relevant experience preferred with operating heavy equipment.
  • Familiarity with residential and commercial construction practices.
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
  • Employment is conditional on verification of clean driving record, background check(s), and pre-employment/random drug testing.

Responsibilities

  • Operate construction machines and vehicles safely (Bulldozers, Crawlers, Skid Steer, Excavators, Backhoes, Tri-Axle Dump Trucks, Work Vans).
  • Perform pre-operational checks and basic maintenance on equipment.
  • Follow safety procedures while operating equipment.
  • Carry out general construction tasks (framing, finishing, utilities, grading, storm water, sewer systems, pipe work, snow removal).

Description
Job Overview:
  • The Construction Equipment Operator position is responsible for the following:
  • Operating heavy equipment to lift, move, or place equipment or materials
  • Driving equipment and vehicles (including tri-axle dump trucks) between sites
  • Performing basic duties associated with operating heavy equipment and vehicles
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Operate various construction machines and vehicles: Bulldozers, Crawlers, Skid Loaders, Excavators, Backhoes, Tri-Axle Dump Trucks, Work Vans, etc. in a safe and appropriate manner
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and perform regular maintenance and minor repairs when necessary
  • Follow all safety procedures while operating equipment
  • Perform general construction and maintenance duties including, but not limited to, framing, finishing, underground utilities, final gradings, storm water management, sewer systems, pipe and shovel work, snow removal, etc
Requirements
Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Relevant experience preferred with operating heavy equipment
  • Familiarity with residential and commercial construction practices
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
  • Employment is conditional on verification of clean driving record, background check(s), and pre-employment/random drug testing

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:
  • This is a full-time position and regular work hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.in addition to weekends on an as-needed basis with the ability to work outside of or in addition to those hours as needed.
Travel:
  • Must be willing to travel and occasionally stay overnight at different job sites.
