Job summary

Cordova Recreation & Park District is seeking a full-time Lead Mechanic to join the Cordova Golf Course team. This position follows a 9/8/80 schedule with some weekends, holidays and evenings, and on-call as needed.

Under direction, the Lead Mechanic will supervise and perform repairs on golf course maintenance equipment, golf carts, mowers, and related machinery; manage parts inventory and preventive maintenance; and train staff to ensure safe, efficient operation.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade and 3–5 years of full-time paid experience in golf course equipment maintenance.
• Experience working on golf course maintenance equipment, utility vehicles, mowers, carts, tractors, and turf machinery.
• Valid California driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise staff performing mechanic duties on golf course equipment.
• Train staff in equipment maintenance and shop safety.
• Oversee repairs and maintenance of greens and fairway mowers and related turf equipment.
• Maintain repair records and parts inventory.
