Job summary

City of Leander is seeking a mid-level Golf Course Mechanic to maintain and repair the fleet of golf carts and equipment. The role requires a high school diploma and three years of full-time mechanic experience; on-call duties and extended hours may be required.

You will supervise staff, manage preventive maintenance, coordinate repairs, and ensure safety standards on the course. Texas license and Class A CDL within 90 days may be needed; CTEM certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED plus three years of full-time mechanic experience.
• Knowledge of auto mechanics and repair of heavy and light equipment; ability to read wiring diagrams is essential.
• Must communicate effectively, follow safety procedures, and multitask in a dynamic golf course environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair golf course equipment and fleet, including mowers and related machinery.
• Supervise and direct assigned staff; provide evaluations.
• Schedule preventive maintenance and manage equipment records and parts inventories.
• Assist in irrigation repairs and course maintenance tasks as needed.
• Be on-call as required by the Superintendent and General Manager.
