Job summary

Commander, Navy Installations Command is seeking a qualified individual to serve as a leader for golf course maintenance at Sewells Point Golf Course, Naval Support Activity Hampton Roads, Norfolk, VA. Qualifications

Must be able to read and write and understand both written and verbal instructions.
Minimum one-year documented experience in golf course maintenance.
Ability to lead a small staff and work independently.
General knowledge of maintenance of fine turf, trees and ornamentals; skilled in using power/hand tools and equipment used in golf course maintenance.
Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles and driver-operated machinery in tight spaces and on varied terrain.

Responsibilities

Lead a small staff in golf course maintenance and work independently as required.
Maintain shrubbery, irrigation systems, greens, tees, fairways, rough and adjacent areas to keep them in top playing condition.
Follow instructions and KSAs to ensure high-quality course maintenance and safety.
