Job summary

• General knowledge of maintenance of fine turf, trees and ornamentals; skilled in using power/hand tools and equipment used in golf course maintenance.
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles and driver-operated machinery in tight spaces and on varied terrain.

Job description

This position is located in the Naval Support Activity Hampton Roads Norfolk, VA Sewells Point Golf Course. The purpose of this position is to serve as a leader and to perform a variety of duties necessary for the maintenance of the Golf Course shrubbery, irrigation systems, greens, tees, fairways, rough and adjacent areas to keep them in the best possible playing condition.

A qualified candidate must possess:

• Must possess the skill to operate manual transmission vehicles and maneuver driver-operated machinery in spaces that are small, tight, and confined spaces with small turning radius, hills and steep grades.
