Job summary

Cedar Point Club in Suffolk, Virginia seeks an Equipment Operator to maintain the golf course and grounds. This role involves safely operating a wide range of equipment, cleaning and minor repairs, and daily maintenance duties around the course and clubhouse.

Responsibilities include logging fuel/oil usage, performing tasks such as mowing, trimming, drainage work, and bunkers maintenance, and supporting golf course setup as needed. Evening/night shifts and weekend hours may be required.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience with equipment and/or in golf course maintenance or landscaping preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Demonstrated ability to operate golf course equipment.
• Demonstrated quality verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate equipment and accessories as trained and assigned including greens/rotary/tri-plex mowers and related machinery.
• Inspect and care for equipment before/after use; report issues to mechanic.
• Maintain logs for gas and oil on assigned equipment.
• Perform daily maintenance and site tasks such as trimming trees, laying sod, raking bunkers, drainage repairs, and filling divots.
• Perform golf course service and setup work as directed.
