Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to architect and scale the unified Registration Authority (RA) for a global multi-cloud platform. You will design highly concurrent Go codepaths, implement AI-augmented development practices, and lead architectural decisions across a distributed system with stringent security requirements.

You will mentor engineers, establish robust testing and observability, and collaborate with Security Architecture to automate compliance controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 9+ years in professional software development with distributed systems.
• Strong experience with Go, Java, or Rust and advanced concurrency.
• Experience deploying and operating services in AWS and GCP.
• Design RESTful and gRPC services with robust distributed state machines.
• Proficiency in observability, telemetry, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with AI coding assistants and shared-context workflows.
• Advanced prompt engineering and AI-first development approach.
• Bachelor-level or higher education in computing or engineering.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain the unified Registration Authority (RA) across a global multi-cloud platform.
• Design and optimize highly concurrent build paths in Go for diverse cloud environments.
• Develop and scale synchronous and asynchronous certificate issuance paths.
• Implement hierarchical policy engines and authorization controls for workload identity.
• Integrate with multiple certificate authorities for lifecycle management.
• Lead engineering excellence with resilient, observable, and well-tested code.
• Instrument telemetry, tracing, and alerting to meet SLAs.
• Mentor engineers, perform code reviews, and raise design standards.
• Collaborate with Security Architecture to automate compliance controls.
• Resolve escalations and drive durable architectural fixes.
• Foster AI-augmented development practices and prompt engineering.
