Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems is seeking a Guidance, Navigation, and Control Engineer for Chandler, AZ onsite. You will lead high-impedance missions, focusing on seeker modeling, target tracking, and advanced GNC algorithms for missile and launch-vehicle systems.

You will develop and evaluate GNC systems, lead simulations, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with program leadership on risks and recommendations. Security clearance is required for program work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD in EE/Aerospace/Mechanical or related field with extensive experience.
• Proven experience with GNC concepts for aerospace or missile systems and leading development efforts.
• Willing to obtain DoD Secret clearance prior to start.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, C++, Linux, MATLAB/Simulink, Python.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, verification, and testing of flight and simulation software.
• Own 6-DOF simulations for developing and validating flight algorithms.
• Optimize software for performance, robustness, and maintainability.
• Conduct trajectory analyses and tool-based evaluations.
• Apply control theory and state estimation to seeker measurements.
• Maintain 6-DOF simulations and integrate hardware/software components.
• Perform performance assessments and trade studies.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical direction on seeker/tracking.
