The Boeing Company in Hazelwood, MO is seeking a Lead Guidance Navigation and Control Engineer. You will define mission requirements, build and refine nonlinear 6-DOF simulations, and develop controllers using C, C++, FORTRAN and Python.

You will lead design reviews, test initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure mission success. The ideal candidate brings 14+ years of GNC experience, strong modeling/simulation skills in MATLAB/Simulink, and a track record of delivering flight

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
14+ years of work experience with a Bachelors degree or equivalent.
5+ years of experience in Guidance Navigation and Control engineering.
Experience using Matlab/Simulink or MatrixX to model systems.

Responsibilities

Define GNC mission requirements and ensure traceability from system to component level.
Develop and refine a complex nonlinear 6-DOF simulation model using multidisciplinary data.
Develop, implement, and test vehicle models and controllers in C, C++, FORTRAN, Python.
Design flight control laws and use nonlinear analysis to refine control law design.
Validate models against test data to improve simulation accuracy.
Lead design reviews, analyses, simulations and testing to meet customer requirements.
Train and coach other engineers.
