Job summary

The Boeing Company is seeking Guidance Navigation & Control Engineers to join the ESG team in Seal Beach, El Segundo, CA or Denver, CO. The role focuses on designing GN&C algorithms for spacecraft, developing 6-DOF simulations, and integrating MATLAB/Simulink models with C/C++ prototypes for flight tests.

Experienced candidates will lead engineering projects, mentor peers, and collaborate with systems engineering, avionics, and test teams to advance GN&C capabilities and on-orbit autonomy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Active Tier 5 clearance required (SSBI).
• 5+ years of related work experience with spacecraft.
• Experience using MATLAB and Simulink.
• Experience developing GN&C algorithms, models and simulations.

Responsibilities

• Designs, implements, and verifies guidance, navigation, and control algorithms for spacecraft.
• Develops and maintains 6-DOF dynamics simulations and analysis tools.
• Implements and validates GN&C flight software (MATLAB/Simulink models and C/C++ prototypes).
• Applies astrodynamics and flight mechanics to mission design and trajectory optimization.
• Develops guided and autonomous systems for on-orbit operations.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams and mentors junior engineers.
