Job summary

Boeing Defense, Space & Security's Air Dominance division in Hazelwood, MO, is seeking a Lead GNC Engineer to define mission requirements and develop nonlinear 6-DoF models. You will implement controllers in C/C++, Python, and MATLAB/Simulink, and work with flight simulation and VMS teams to validate designs.

Applicants should have 14+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's, 5+ years in GNC, and strong modeling knowledge. U.S. Secret Clearance or higher is preferred; relocation is offered.

Qualifications

• 14+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in Guidance Navigation and Control engineering
• Experience using Matlab/Simulink or MatrixX to model systems

Responsibilities

• Define GNC mission requirements and ensure traceability from system to component level
• Develop and refine nonlinear 6 DOF simulation models using multidisciplinary data
• Develop, implement, and test vehicle models and controllers in C/C++ and Python
• Design flight control laws to meet performance targets
• Collaborate with flight simulation and Vehicle Management Systems teams to integrate control laws
• Lead design reviews, analyses, simulations and testing to meet customer requirements
• Train and coach others
