Job summary

The Boeing Company seeks a Lead GMD Mod Technician to join our Fort Greely, AK team. This 100% onsite role requires directing system-level integration, performing complex field modifications, and mentoring junior technicians on a remote, harsh-weather site.

Strong testing, documentation, and safety discipline are essential. Qualifications include 6+ years in mechanical/electrical assembly, 3+ years leading field teams, and proficiency in reading engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years' experience in mechanical/electrical/electronic assembly including diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Direct and execute system-level integration, functional and acceptance testing; collect, analyze, and report data and anomalies.
• Lead and perform complex field modifications, system upgrades, retrofits, and installations on GMD launch, C2, sensor, and support equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical, electronic, and electromechanical failures; provide root-cause input and corrective actions.
• Maintain configuration control and as-built documentation; review and approve field change packages and wiring/assembly updates.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior technicians; assign tasks and ensure safety standards.
• Act as primary technical contact with government and contractor stakeholders; present briefings and status updates.
• Manage special tooling and test-equipment inventories; ensure calibration of instruments.
• Improve procedures, work instructions, and lessons-learned to increase reliability and safety.
• Enforce site safety, environmental and security procedures; handle CUI and classified materials.
