Job summary

Boeing Global Services in Fort Greely, AK seeks a GMD Sustainment and Repair Mod Tech to support the Ground Based Mid-Course Defense program. This 100% onsite role involves assembling, repairing, and testing aerospace components, troubleshooting pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems, and ensuring repairs meet flight-worthiness standards.

Minimum 1 year of related experience is required, with travel up to 20% for offsite support and training.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience with assembling, repairing, and testing mechanical and electrical components and systems.
• Willing to travel up to 20% domestically for offsite support and training.
• Able to ascend/descend ladders and work in restricted spaces, up to 275 lbs payload.
• Willingness to work in confined spaces and lift loads around 35 pounds.
• Experience operating forklifts, cranes or related equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
• Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul.
• Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
• Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate faults and repair components.
• Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.
• Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.
• Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements.
• Oversees training.
