Job summary

SPS Corporation in Apex, NC seeks a Superintendent to lead glazing and paneling field operations. The role manages schedules, supervises crews, and ensures safety, quality, and on-time, on-budget delivery per project specs.

You'll coordinate with project managers, foremen, subcontractors, and general contractors, enforce OSHA and safety policies, and mentor field staff while maintaining thorough site records and equipment readiness.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of construction experience with supervisory roles in commercial glazing or related field.
• In-depth knowledge of commercial glass and panel installation practices, equipment, and tools.
• Strong understanding of construction documents, reports, project scheduling, and job costing.
• Familiarity with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and quality control standards.
• OSHA 30 Construction Industry certification preferred.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in interpreting architectural and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Supervise on-site operations including glass installation, framing, and hardware to ensure high-quality work and safety compliance.
• Coordinate daily job site activities and manage crews to meet milestones and deadlines.
• Communicate and collaborate with project managers, foremen, subcontractors, and general contractors to resolve issues and maintain progress.
• Monitor work progress and ensure alignment with construction documents, specifications, and industry standards.
• Lead daily job site meetings and safety planning discussions.
• Enforce safety regulations and ensure OSHA guidelines and company policies are followed.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with project requirements.
• Maintain accurate site documentation: daily reports, time sheets, receipts, and incident logs.
• Oversee field inventory, tools, and equipment maintenance and replacements.
• Train and mentor field staff to promote growth and high performance.
• Coordinate with office/logistics for timely material delivery and proper site setup.
• Ensure vehicles and trailers are maintained and compliant.
