Job summary

SPS Corporation seeks a Superintendent to oversee glazing and paneling field operations, coordinating crews, schedules and safety on active projects. The role requires supervising field personnel, ensuring quality, tracking progress and maintaining site documentation in a fast-paced construction environment.

The incumbent will lead daily site meetings, engage with project managers and general contractors, and ensure work aligns with drawings, specifications and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 7 years of construction experience with supervisory or superintendent roles in commercial glazing or related field.
• In-depth knowledge of commercial glass and panel installation practices, equipment and tools.
• Strong understanding of construction documents, reports, project scheduling and job costing.
• Familiarity with applicable building codes, safety regulations and quality control standards.
• OSHA 30 Construction Industry certification preferred.
• Strong leadership, problem solving and communication skills.
• Proficiency in interpreting architectural and engineering drawings.
• Willingness to travel to different job sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all on site operations including glass installation, framing and hardware installation to ensure high quality work and adherence to safety standards.
• Coordinate daily job site activities and manage crews to achieve milestones and deadlines.
• Communicate with project managers, foremen, subcontractors and general contractors to resolve issues and maintain progress.
• Monitor work progress and ensure alignment with documents, specs and industry standards.
• Lead daily job site meetings and participate in production meetings to discuss planning and safety opportunities.
• Enforce safety regulations and ensure OSHA compliance and company safety policies.
