Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. in Raleigh, NC, seeks a Lead Solution Architect with deep enterprise GIS expertise to design and implement GIS solutions for utility projects.

You will lead GIS architecture, drive integrations with SAP/Maximo, manage Esri environments, and guide cross-functional teams through design, build and deployment while engaging clients. Travel up to 25% is expected in a global environment with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Geography, Geoinformatics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience with enterprise GIS system design and architecture.
• Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining enterprise Esri environments.
• Experience designing and implementing cloud based and cloud native architectures.
• Experience designing and implementing GIS software
• Experience in utilities and/or distributed asset-based solutions
• Experience in integration with EAM (SAP or Maximo), OT Systems (ADMS, OMS)
• Ability to translate business requirements to a proposed technical solution.
• Ability to lead teams of software developers, GIS analysts, and junior architects on large, multi-workstream programs.
• Ability to execute all phases of the custom solution delivery process (design/build/test/release/support).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Passion for staying current on emerging technologies and identifying opportunities for innovative solutions that solve challenging problems for our clients and the industries we serve.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• GIS System Architecture: Lead the architectural design and implementation of enterprise-level GIS solutions on VM and cloud platforms.
• Integrations: Lead or assist with integrating GIS with enterprise systems such as Maximo, SAP, or ADMS.
• Enterprise GIS Administration: Deploy Esri stack components and databases in client environments with high availability.
• Performance Testing and Capacity Planning: Develop testing plans to drive capacity planning.
• Client Engagement: Act as a technical liaison with client IT and business leads; present and demonstrate GIS capabilities.
• Proposal Development: Assist sales/marketing to craft proposals and ensure technical alignment.
