Job summary

IQ Fiber is seeking a Manager, GIS to own ArcGIS platforms (Pro, Server/Online), design data models, and govern parcel and address records across FTTH expansion markets. You will lead a small team of GIS/OSP analysts, define authoritative rules, and partner with Engineering and Construction to ensure data quality and actionable outputs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Engineering, Planning, Natural Sciences, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on GIS experience with production geospatial datasets.
• Proven people-management experience—leading a team day to day and developing analysts.
• Advanced proficiency in ArcGIS Pro/Desktop, ArcGIS Server/Enterprise, and ArcGIS Online.
• Experience designing ETL workflows and enterprise geodatabases.
• Experience defining and enforcing data standards and QA/QC processes.
• Working fluency with parcel data, addressing, and coordinate systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and clear ability to translate spatial insights for non-GIS stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own ArcGIS (Pro, Enterprise/Server, Online) as the system of record for geospatial data.
• Own the fiber network records and design platform, including data structure and workflows.
• Administer users, permissions, licensing, and vendor escalation.
• Design and maintain ETL workflows and geodatabases; implement notebooks and Python scripts.
• Establish and enforce geospatial data standards and QA/QC across datasets.
• Reconcile geospatial data with parcel sources and addressing authorities.
• Serve as geospatial data owner in the MDM program and map source fields to golden attributes.
• Provide governance input on which system wins when sources disagree; support steward reviews.
• Validate golden records and drive data remediation with stewards.
• Lead and develop a GIS/OSP team (1–3 analysts); set standards and grow capability.
• Produce maps, dashboards, spatial analyses, and outputs for multiple departments.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Construction to ensure records reflect as-built reality.
