Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking a Principal Geotechnical Engineer to provide technical leadership across major projects in Atlanta, GA. You will guide a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists, reviewing reports, designs, and analyses to ensure accuracy and quality.

Ideal candidates have 12+ years of geotechnical/transportation experience, PE license, and familiarity with DOT GDM and AASHTO LRFD.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of geotechnical and transportation engineering experience.
• PE license is required; PG may be acceptable depending on state requirements.
• Experience with DOT GDM and AASHTO LRFD specifications.
• Proficiency in MicroStation and OpenRoads or similar programs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as final technical reviewer and signatory for geotechnical reports and designs.
• Oversee development of geotechnical reports and design packages with Engineer of Record seal.
• Provide technical mentorship across branch and region.
• Lead complex designs for slope stability, foundations, retaining structures and settlements.
• Direct field exploration activities and client meetings to drive growth.
