S&ME Inc. in Nashville, TN is seeking a licensed Geotechnical Engineer to lead geotechnical projects from scoping through completion, coordinating with clients, teaming consultants, contractors and field personnel.

The ideal candidate holds a PE license in Tennessee, 4+ years of geotechnical experience, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and a collaborative, hands-on approach. We offer competitive pay and a full benefits package.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, Mining, or related engineering field.
• 4+ years of geotechnical engineering experience, preferably with some project management responsibilities.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Tennessee or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Demonstrates excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• A collaborative, hands-on environment is valued.

Mansioni

• Lead geotechnical assignments through all phases from scoping to completion, ensuring quality, timelines and budgets.
• Serve as a subject matter resource in subsurface investigations, foundation systems, slope evaluations, ground modification techniques, and other geotechnical assessments.
• Prepare and review geotechnical reports, fee proposals, technical computations, and engineering recommendations.
• Coordinate with clients, teaming consultants, contractors, and internal multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and day-to-day support to developing engineers, technicians, and field personnel.
• Contribute to business growth initiatives, client pursuits, and long-range planning for geotechnical services.
