Job summary

Team UES in Memphis, Tennessee is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to lead geotechnical projects from proposal through investigation, analysis, and reporting. The role emphasizes ownership of project scope, budgets, schedules, and client communication.

The ideal candidate will be a licensed PE or eligible EIT with strong geotechnical background, capable of mentoring junior staff and coordinating multidisciplinary teams. Travel to job sites and offices is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to lead project teams and mentor junior engineers
• Proven track record of managing mid-to-large scale engineering projects
• Experience with geotechnical site investigations, lab testing, and design

Responsibilities

• Independently manage geotechnical engineering projects from client discussions to final deliverables
• Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and technical proposals
• Plan subsurface exploration programs including drilling, sampling, lab testing, and field investigations
• Manage project budgets, schedules, resources, and deliverables
• Serve as primary client contact and coordinate with internal teams

Education

Bachelor in Civil Engineering, Geologic Engineering, Geology, or similar
