Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Lead Geologist for the Greensboro, North Carolina office to provide leadership in hydrogeological characterization, environmental assessments, and compliance. The role involves mentoring environmental scientists, managing projects, and advancing business development with public and private clients in the Southeast.

The ideal candidate has extensive geology experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams while ensuring QA/QC

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or closely related discipline.
• 7-10+ years of related experience.
• Ability to pursue and develop clients in the public or private sectors.
• Proficient in project management and/or business development experience.
• Knowledge of Federal and State environmental regulatory programs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, oversee, and mentor environmental scientists and engineers on projects (field and office).
• Provide technical review/oversight and mentoring for compliance.
• Manage projects technically and administratively.
• Oversee cross-functional teams on scope, schedules, and budgets.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations to address environmental concerns.
