Job summary

RESPEC is seeking an experienced Geochemist to provide technical leadership in mining geochemistry and biogeochemistry consulting. The role supports growth across North America with flexible remote options and periodic travel to client sites and conferences.

Candidate will lead characterization programs, predictive modeling, and biogeochemical treatment projects while mentoring staff and delivering innovative, value-driven solutions for clients in mining and environmental sectors.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree required in geochemistry, geology, hydrogeology, environmental engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years in mining geochemistry or environmental consulting.
• Proven ability to manage technical consulting projects and teams.
• Excellent writing, verbal and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead geochemical characterization programs for mining projects.
• Direct laboratory and field investigations related to mine waste and mine water.
• Interpret geochemical datasets and oversee modeling studies.
• Prepare technical reports, client deliverables, and proposals.
• Ensure safety, quality, and project performance across engagements.
