Job summary
RESPEC seeks an experienced Geochemist to provide technical leadership in mining geochemistry and biogeochemistry consulting. You’ll guide multidisciplinary teams, design geochemical characterization programs, and deliver innovative solutions for North American mining clients.
The role offers flexibility to work remotely or from RESPEC offices, with periodic travel for projects and conferences. A MS/PhD with 5+ years’ experience is preferred, along with strong writing and client-management
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Geochemistry, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of mining geochemistry or environmental consulting experience.
- Proven track record leading technical consulting projects and teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; client management experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership in geochemistry and biogeochemistry projects.
- Direct laboratory and field investigations on mine waste and water processes.
- Lead geochemical modeling studies (predictive and hydrogeochemical).
- Mentor junior staff and deliver high-quality client deliverables.
- Support business development and client relationship activities.
- Manage projects to meet scope, schedule, budget, and safety standards.
