Job summary

Suffolk is seeking a General Superintendent to provide leadership for field operations and project execution. You will guide scheduling, quality, and safety while building strong client relationships and leading a team of superintendents, field engineers, and project staff.

The role demands a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management, 15+ years of general contracting in Advanced Manufacturing, and a proven ability to manage multiple priorities with integrity and urgency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum of 15 years of general contracting experience within the Advanced Manufacturing space.
• Ability to multi-task and handle competing priorities between Suffolk business needs, organizational issues, and customer relations.
• Business judgment to balance budget and construction processes.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Strong sense of urgency, initiative, and decisive action.

Responsibilities

• Monitor projects for conformance with the schedule, quality, and SOPs.
• Develop client relationships and ensure client satisfaction.
• Recruit, mentor, and train talent for project scope and matches.
• Provide leadership on materials, sequencing, scheduling, personnel and methods.
• Act as advocate for Field Operations and participate in business development.
• Contribute to pre-construction activities and planning, budgets, and staffing.
• Oversee field staff performance, site visits, and ensure workmanship meets plans.
