Job summary

Ujamaa Place seeks a Lead GED Instructor & Adult Education Facilitator to own the day-to-day delivery, structure, and results of the GED program. The role involves on-site instruction at least four days per week, developing individualized learning plans based on each participant’s starting level, and enforcing attendance and progress standards.

Driver's License prep and college enrollment support are included.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering GED instruction and managing attendance.
• Ability to design individualized learning plans and timelines.
• Skills in assessment, data collection, and progress reporting.

Responsibilities

• Teach GED sessions at least four days per week across Math, Literacy, Science and Social Studies.
• Use Kaplan GED Curriculum and GED Ready resources to prepare participants.
• Create and maintain a weekly schedule with group, small-group, and 1:1 tutoring.
• Set clear attendance, participation, and professionalism standards.
